Why Should I enrol onto the Professional Culinary Entrepreneurship Course

1.   Tell us a little about the course.

The Culinary Entrepreneur course is a year long accredited course, participants are taught in a realistic work environment and fantastic state of the art hospitality training centre. Learners are immersed within a cafe business and will acquire multiple skills and disciplines, including professional culinary skills, food & beverage service , Barista, customers service skills and handling cash payments. Learners who complete this programme will have all the pre required qualifications and skills to either go straight into employment or continue on with their education.

2.   Whats does a typical week look like on the course?

Monday to Friday learners are engaged in practical classes in both training kitchens in Marine House and classroom setting or in the cafe business where they get to practice their skills with real customers. This blended learning programme, focuses on the practical elements and is supported with underpinning knowledge, 70% practical and 30% theory.

3.  Why should i do this course?

Easy one! if you are interested in a career in hospitality, catering, food service, customer service, barista, or ever wanted to open your own food business then this programme is for you. We are looking for enthusiastic, committed to self improvement, people who enjoy team work, who are not afraid of hard work, and want to build a career in hospitality or food and beverage industry.

4   What can I do when finished the course?

The world is your oyster! Currently Ireland is looking for 5000 chefs each year, not to mention food and beverage staff, bar persons, baristas, catering assistants, food business owners. On succesful completion of the programme learners achieve a major level 5 award in professional culinary, this qualification provides access or pathways to further education including our very own National Commis Chef Apprenticeship Programme, Bray Institute of Further Education, Institutes of Technologies to mention a few.

Learners who succesfully complete this programme truly have an opportunity to excel in the hospitality industry and avail of the opportunities it brings, such as employment opportunities both nationaly and internationally, meet and work with great people and get paid for something you love doing, not to mention knowing how to cook and all the recognition you get for for having such a socially desired skilled...
